Tips To Maintain
PRO PRODUCTS - If you just bought a brand new Bentley you wouldn't wash it with dish soap. Same goes for your hair, you've made the investment for fabulous hair so it's crucial to use products that are going to help in maintaining the longevity of your color. I will make a recommendation based on your hair needs.
GRUNGE IS GOOD - While shampooing cleans dirt and oil accumulation, it can also cause color fading. Professional shampoos help tremendously, but can only do so much if you shampoo daily. Milk your time between washes and use dry shampoo if you're feeling a bit oily or flat, when in doubt, top knot it out.
EMBRACE THE COLD - This is where I professionally prescribed cold showers. Unlike permanent color, fashion colors simply coat the outer layer of your hair. Using cold water while shampooing will help color remain on your hair and not go spiraling down the drain. Same concepts apply to heat, turn that flat iron down and take a break from hot tools some days.
HELP! IM BLEEDING! - Only call 911 for color coming out of your veins. After the first few washes you can expect to leave a colorful trail on light colored pillowcases, towels, shirts, hats etc. Dark colors are your friends and colorful water is totally normal.
